I'm not sure if the familiar lack of updates is a good or a bad thing :D I guess its good as it means I'me busy and unable to update this site. But for those interested.... Moviestorm is still evolving, some big updates coming soon, do check it out and tell people about it, where else can you get a full movie making studio with actors, effects, sets etc for only £5 a month?! Other than that I've done an advert for the Rubik's 360, various articles for 3d world, loads of stuff on B3ta, and various bits and bobs under the HappyToast name. Oh and we've finally got the driveway sorted.

11/12/08
Moviestorm continues to evolve, we have now launched some great packs including Law and Order, Halloween, Gardens, etc etc etc. If you're interested in very fast CG movie making without all the fuss of making stuff and animating each keyframe yourself, do check it out. I've also finally got round to updating this site a bit, hopefully get some movie links and new images up in the next few hours/days/weeks.

25/08/08
Moviestorm is available go HERE and try it out, its really quite good! Also since the last update I've moved house, been very busy making more music videos (Androgynoel for FDA - and the Mighty Boosh fans), drawing, decorating, dealing with a huge garden, fish!, and lots and lots of other stuff.

30/07/07
Moviestorm is starting to look great, things seem to be progressing well. Sadly it is taking up all of my time so this site is suffering.

03/09/06
Short Fuze stuff is going well and keeping me busy, plus various other things, I'll be updating the animation and image pages soon with a bit of luck, so things will be a little more relevant.

07/07/06
Usual massive gap....... I've got to learn to put updates up more often. Still Lead artist at Short Fuze, still can't say too much about it, but it's all good and passing milestones very well indeed. Aside from that I've been very, very busy working on other projects and ideas, a TV show, a Zombie bashing game, a side art/web project, 3D world stuff, colouring in for 2000AD, some work for a friend on his excellent character "Andrew McDavies" the doughnut headed fish boy, and a music video for a top chap called Bovaflux! Hopefully I'll get some work updates on the site soon, but time is very short at the moment and my head's all over the place. Oh! and I forgot again, I won a Master Award in the new Expose book from Ballistic Publishing! woohoo!

26/1/06
Blimey! bit of a gap and a massive change in situation. I ditched working at Codemasters and am now the Lead Artist for Short Fuze, a company based in Cambridge that's developing something cool. Still doing all the other usual stuff, StarDancer is done and put to bed until the publishers decide to raise it (hopefully soon) and I'm working on a couple of other projects that I'll hopefully be able to say more about soon and put up some pics from.

26/9/05
Bit of an update because its well overdue. A Facial animation test has been added to animations, a load of sketches and stuff to the 2d pages and a few of my magazine renders and grabs have been added to the 3d stuff. Finishing up on the top secret StarDancer thing I've had the pleasure to be helping out with and trying to get some of my own stuff done. Playing God of War, listening to Leaves, Goldfrapp, The Duke Spirit, Arcade Fire and Susumu Yokota.

21/6/05
Finally got a few animations back up. Still nothing much new, that's all top secret or owned by other people. Still, check out the anim section and the RD2 stuff too

17/3/05
Site rebuilt to look like this. SORRY IF THINGS ARE BUSTED! I've also thrown out loads of old work just to keep the number of images down and boredom levels at bay.
I'm currently working incredibly hard at Codies on the recently announced Race Driver 3 plus doing the usual journalistic stuff (which might include a resurrection of Tricyle Boy - fingers crossed). Playing Tekken 5 on Import, watching Hero again and again and listening to Bloc Party, The Bravery, Chemical Brothers, Interpol, The Mighty Boosh and a load of SIXXMIXXes.

Previous Site NEWS:

01/01/05 UPDATE - Happy New Year! 6 months since I last updated?! yeesh. Anyway, been really busy prototyping for the next big thing, writing stuff for 3D world and trying to sort out dozens of plans. I've actually made some updates around the site so you can have another wander and see if you can spot where. Still haven't put anything decent on the 3d or animation pages, maybe I'll get round to it soon....................

06/07/04 UPDATE - Blimey time flies! Been working flat out on TOCA Race Driver 2 for the PS2 and I'm up to my ears in a six month long tutorial on character modeling for 3DWorld Magazine. Plus some extra book reviews, plugin reviews and projects which I'll try and get up here soon. Then I might do some of my own work for a change.

06/04/04 UPDATE - TOCA Race Driver 2 is OUT NOW! - go and buy it and see all the fantastic FMV work I've been doing, with the added bonus of it being a cracking game as well! - 2 weeks at the top of the XBox charts in numerous countries and counting!
I've added a page of RD2 screengrabs to the Gallery section so you can see what it's like in static form at least.

Other than that I'm busy doing 3D world articles and many, many more things, rush, rush, rush, can't stop now....

31/03/04 UPDATE - The game is done and due out on PC and XBox on the 23rd (I think) of April, rush out and er, order your copy now! There are some clips floating around the net that do show the FMV, but I can't be bothered to look up the links right now, look 'em up yourself, just type TOCA Race Driver 2 FMV in to Google!
3DWorld stuff has included CAT (Character Animation Toolkit) and endorphin a damn fine piece of Motion Capture generating software that lets you throw people off very high places with remarkable realism!
I'm trying to get my UT2004 (yes, it's gone up a gear) stuff going again.
And I've got a couple of other things in the pipeline, so, busy, busy, busy, expect another update in 3 months!

18/01/04 UPDATE - Happy Holidays and New Year people! - Blimey, doesn't time fly when you're having fun.
Been real busy at work finishing off the the FMV for the game I've been helping out on. Hopefully some of the stuff I've been doing will be released to the press soon so I can link to that too!
Journalistic duties have had me reviewing ClothFX, a rather nice clothing plugin for MAX - maybe I'll get around to doing some new stuff to put up here?! - or maybe I'll just be lazy.
And the cursed DIY of eternity has eaten the rest of my time. Still I've set up a new office space so that might encourage me to spend more time being creative.....

26/11/03 UPDATE - Trying to update my Published stuff page, but other than that not a lot artistic going on (except for a quick Motionbuilder 5 review and that and modelling Tutorial I mentioned). Work (Codemasters) is really good though, hopefully some of the stuff I've been doing will be allowed online soon and I can get some links up.

22/09/03 UPDATE - Yeesh, what a gap 2! More DIY getting in the way of 3D stuff (bathroom now), but my Low Poly modelling Tutorials have just been re-printed in GameMaker magazine - in the shops now!

26/08/03 UPDATE - Yeesh, what a gap! What have I been up to? er, working, working, working, putting in a kitchen (with some help from my brother), buying anew computer, quick hand Tutorial underway, some new UT2003 models and anotherTutorial there. The usual stuff.

29/05/03 UPDATE - no update, just trying to get my computer back up and running having had to replace the HD.

18/05/03 UPDATE - 3DWorld magazine June issue is out now - Front cover, inside cover and 6 page UT2003 Tutorial done by me! - get your copy now!

11/05/03 UPDATE - Review of HumanIK written for 3DWorld, starting to tidy up the site a bit (but only a bit mind)

05/05/03 UPDATE - Trying to find the time to do some stuff. I've got another review to write for 3DWorld, loads of UT2003 models to make, Zelda to play! and I really want to get some drawing done - although I did a nice Spidey pic that I'll try and remember to scan and put up soon.

01/05/03 UPDATE - Not only is my 6 page UT2003 exporting Tutorial going to grace the June issue of 3DWorld magazine - but it'll be on the cover too! yay!

02/04/03 UPDATE - Finished a 6 page Tutorial on Modelling, Mapping, Skinning and Exporting a UT2003 character for the June issue of 3DWorld.

20/03/03 UPDATE - Finished a review of Absolute Character Tools for the May issue of 3DWorld magazine and now I'm starting on a Tutorial for them. Doing really cool stuff at Codemasters too.

01/03/03 UPDATE - Started my new job at Codemasters, nice. I'll try and get some new stuff up here soon, in the meantime check my Planet Unreal site , that's where most of my work seems to go these days.

06/02/03 UPDATE - If you still want to watch my showreel......... it's HERE (7.5mb WMV file - now hosted by FilePlanet!)

Happy travels.

23/01/03 UPDATE - For those just passing, or returning for the sheer hell of it, you'll be pleased to know I've updated all over the place!

older news follows:

11/01/03 UPDATE - Been busy on my UT2003 site , but I've got some big ideas on the go that will hopefully shape up in to a really good short film and a book! (not a book of the film though!) that will hopefully appear here some how.

01/01/03 UPDATE - Happy New Year - hope it all works out for everyone and there's no war, flooding or disasters of any kind......... oh. why can't you people just get on.
If anybody knows how to put an end to fighting and try and focus everybody's attention on fixing up the planet we've so mercilessly stripped can they please drop me a line,or better still, write to your Prime Minister, Ruler or Elected Supreme Being and beg they do something soon.
I tried, but only got a polite thank you letter saying how busy he was.

25/12/02 UPDATE - Merry Christmas everyone
